Hi I am Mohamed i would like to get details on pso matlab code for unit commitment ..My friend Justin said pso matlab code for unit commitment will be available here and now i am living at ......... and i last studied in the college......... and now am doing ....i need help on ......

Commitment methods of existing units have the problem of stopping at optimum local convergence and slow. Therefore, it is replaced by a new method known as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which is a biological method based on the swarm of particles. It consists of a group of particles that move towards the optimal solution. Workable solutions are obtained as the particles move in the feasible solution space rather than the ones that are not feasible. Thus, the method reduces computational time. Due to the nature of the changing technology, the commitment of the unit is also undergoing a change in its method of solution. This is because there must be an efficient method for engaging generators to meet the load. Many methods have been introduced to resolve the commitment of the unit. Even if methods have advantages, most methods suffer from local convergence and the curse of dimensionality. So a new method known as PSO is introduced to resolve the commitment of unity. The method was introduced by Eberhart and Kennedy in 1995. It is a biological method based on the movement of particles in hyperspace towards the optimal solution. The project deals with the solution of the commitment of the unit with PSO. Other applications of PSO are the optimal placement of the devices of the facts, the sending of the reactive energy, the estimation of the state and the diffuse systems. One of these areas is the commitment of thermal units. Particle swarm optimization has its roots in biological simulation and behavior of birds and animals such as bird flocking, schooling of fish and swarm theory. It is also related to evolutionary computing, and has links to genetic algorithms and evolutionary programming. The particle swarm optimization developed by the authors comprises a very simple concept, and the paradigms can be implemented in a few lines of computer code. It requires only primitive mathematical operators, and is computationally cheap in terms of both memory and speed requirements.
